Sophie Albou, founder of the much coveted French label Paul & Joe, has to be one of my all time style crushes. I've always loved Albou's ability to effortlessly combine preppy, refined silhouettes with super quirky prints and colour combinations - a marriage that has ultimately come to define the designer's aesthetic. I'm yet to come across another designer who can with equal confidence, slap a cat (actually, any animal) print all over a chic silk dress and yet still maintain its elegance and wearability .

The playful element behind Albou's aesthetic also transcends into both her home interiors as well as Paul & Joe boutiques worldwide. This design consistency is something that I personally have a great deal of respect for. I love the fact that she treats the interior design of her boutiques as an extension of her own home whereby the influences of the 1960's, Parisian and Japanese cultures, Art Deco, and animals are equally apparent.

That limited edition Fernando & Humberto stuffed animal chair is out of control. I'm feeling a DIY project coming on..
